Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer

Tarte again! Haha we all know how much I love Tarte. Tarte will you move me out to NY so I can work for you after I get my certificate at fidm in beauty!? Yes? Haha How awesome would that opportunity be?

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was busy busy! I got to see my favorite little niece for her 1st bday party. Elmo themed of course. “ehmo ehmooo” Love her to pieces. Errands and meetings and fun other stuff happened on Sunday. Yay for great weekends! Full of babies, rain, makeup and good people! – Except for the winds have majorly dried out my face, but no worries I’m trying out “This… Naturally” Shea Face Serum to treat it.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer

I’ve realized I don’t talk much about bronzer on here, but of course I found a Tarte bronzer that I love to pieces. The component is simple and stock, but the cover is so pretty and shimmer, that I lovers how fancy it looks. Almost makes it seem like it costs $55 rather than actually costing $29. The Bronzer comes in what they call “park ave princess,” which is a gold shimmer and in “hotel heiress,” which is what I have and is deep bronze shimmer. (btw if you don’t like shimmer, they also make a matte bronzer that you could check out.)

For face bronzer I imagine the gold being to light for me, but could possibly work as a body shimmer for the more olive tone women or as a highlighter for darker skinned women.

Remember that if you can’t find the products on the Tarte Website you can always check out Sephora or Ulta. You VIB members at Sephora should use your 15% discount 😉 –

What I love about this bronzer is that it is not so intense that it looks patchy. I love the shimmer, mostly because I already have a matte bronzer. I think the fact that it has shimmer makes it serve as a highlight and not just bronzer. It compliments the blush instead of overpowering it.

Such a pretty shimmer! I would agree, it would make a great highlighter. I use bronzer as my blush…Have you tried putting on multiple coats of it to get it into a darker shade noticeable enough to use as a blush?

    • I don’t really use bronzer as blush so I don’t let it get too dark, however, this is the darker one so I’m sure it would work for you. The other one I feel works more like a highlighter, but I could be wrong since I’ve never used it. I would take a picture for you but my skin is still recovering from a breakout a face wash caused me.
